People would be foolish to pay for the UK terrestrial channels seeing as the vast majority of them are free-to-air (no encryption) on satellite. There is little incentive to switch over until more channels are made available free of change on the platform.

I agree. In fact, right now I’m looking into a DTT/Satellite combo receiver. That will give me RTE, TV3, TG4 free on DTT + BBC, ITV, C4, E4 and a hundred more off FreeSat. All in one box … and for free! Good-bye Sky. Good-bye NTL. Not even saying hello to Boxer.
